Finnish Figure Skating Association organizes a Summer Camp 2019 in the Sport Institute of Finland
Summer Camp: 1.–6.7.2019
The Summer camp consists of six active days of training in the Sport Institute of Finland. The Sport Institute of Finland has very good training facilities for figure skating. You can read more about the facilities from here.
Most of the training days include three sessions on ice, excluding the arrival and departure days, in which there will be two ice sessions per day. In addition to the ice sessions there is dance and off-ice training every day.
Nuriya Pirogova (FIN) has been working as the Youth Olympic Coach since 2015. Pirogova is responsible for the Finnish National Team, the Youth National Team and the Talent-group. Pirogova has worked alongside of many great coaches and this work continues in the Youth Olympic Coach’s role. Pirogova’s strengths are paying attention to skaters as individuals and excellent technical knowledge.
Florent Amodio (FRA) is a four-time French National Champion and the European Champion 2011. Amodio finished his competitive figure skating career in the 2016 Europeans. Amodio has his own skating academy (Amodio Figure Skating Academy) in Vaujany, France.
Marina Rolbina (RUS) is responsible for the camp’s dance teaching. Rolbina is known for her co-operation with the Finnish National Team. The skaters attending the camp have a great opportunity to buy a choreography for their program from Marina! Riina Varjokari (FIN) is the assistant coach of the camp.
The Sport Institute of Finland is located in the centre of Southern Finland, in Vierumäki. The distance from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport to Vierumäki is approximately 120km. You can read more about Vierumäki and how to reach it from here.

Extra nights in the Sport Institute of Finland are available for before (30.6.-1.7.) and after (6.-7.7.) the camp. An extra night includes a dinner and a breakfast. The price for an individual extra night is 80€. The possible extra nights can be purchased at the registration.
The price of the camp is 815€.
The price covers the coaching (420€) and 5 nights accommodation with full-board (395€).
Please note that the camp can only be bought as a whole package, which includes both the coaching and the accommodation with full-board.
The Finnish Figure Skating Association’s camps are popular, so act soon and book your place in advance!
The Finnish Figure Skating Association requires that the participating figure skaters are independent enough to take a part of the summer camp. The participants are also required to take care of their own insurances.
The camp registrations are binding. The Finnish Figure Skating Association holds the right to cancel the camp if there will not be enough attendees (20 skaters).
A reservation fee of 100€ will be charged at the registration.
Cancellation due to a force majeure: half of the reservation fee will be held as office expenses. A document (eg. a medical certificate) is required. Cancellation 30 days prior to the camp: 50 % of the price of the camp will be charged. Cancellation 15 days or less prior to the camp: 100 % of the price of the camp will be charged.
In case of any medical conditions, a medical certificate is required.
