Winter Garden

The Winter Garden has been a recreational meeting place for the residents of Helsinki for over a century. No matter what season it is, the elaborate oasis of exotic plants invites you to take a tour of the greenery. The Winter garden was first opened to public in 1893.

The Helsinki City Winter Garden features over 200 plant species, including massive palms that reach to the ceiling and one hundred- year-old Camellia japonica. Enjoy these and more in the Palm Room. Favourites among children include the fish in the fountain. The Cactus Room includes flowering money plants among hundreds of different cacti.

Free admission.

Hammarskjöldintie 1, 00250 Helsinki.
